Description
This ITS element represents the roadside field equipment used for the NDOT ATM system and includes ATM gantries, DMS, CCTV, flow detectors, and dynamic ramp meters. The roadside field equipment is used to support the basic operational strategies of speed harmonization, queue warning, dynamic lane merging, and dynamic ramp metering. In the Las Vegas region, the ATM system is currently managed by the RTC FAST TMC.
